Machine-translated from the Portuguese article

IC 31 is a complementary itinerary of Portugal, currently in the planning stage. It will connect, in motorway profile, the A 23 motorway at Alcains, Castelo Branco, to the Spanish border at Termas de Monfortinho, where it will continue via the Spanish autovía EX-A1, currently under construction. It will pass near Idanha-a-Nova and the historic village of Monsanto.
